Unselfish Little Dreamers

Unselfish? Here’s a behavior that can make a parent proud. But we can all be a little selfish sometimes. I can definitely raise my hand on that one! However, to be unselfish takes real character. Fortunately, since life doesn’t allow us to get our way all the time, we don’t get to wield it in our favor as often and as freely as we would if we could.

Growing up with a younger brother, there were times when he wanted to play a particular game, and I wanted to play something else. Being the older brother, I’d try to compromise or end up letting him get his way. But I reminded him of my unselfish deed the next time. Then it was his turn to be selfless. You see, when little dreamers learn this valuable trait, everyone wins!
